Welcome to Split.bill. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Split.bill mobile application ("App") available on Android and iOS platforms, and any related services provided by Split.bill (collectively, the "Service").

By accessing or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

1. Description of Service

Split.bill is a tool designed to help users track and split expenses with friends, family, and groups. The Service allows you to create groups, add expenses, settle balances, and communicate with other users regarding shared costs.

2. User Accounts

• Registration: To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process.
• Account Security: You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for any activities or actions under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
• Eligibility: You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.

3. User Content and Conduct

• Responsibility: You are solely responsible for the data, text, and other content ("User Content") you upload or share through the App.
• Accuracy: You agree that any expense data or financial information you enter is accurate and entered in good faith.
• Prohibited Conduct: You agree not to:
  • Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.
  • Harass, abuse, or harm another person.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or user accounts.

The App and its original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of Split.bill and its licensors. Our trademarks and trade dress may not be used in connection with any product or service without our prior written consent.

6. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Split.bill shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from:

• Your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Service.
• Any conduct or content of any third party on the Service.
• Any content obtained from the Service.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. We make no warranties, expressed or implied, regarding the accuracy, reliability, or availability of the Service.

9. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Split.bill is headquartered, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of significant changes by updating the "Effective Date" at the top of these Terms and, where appropriate, through the App.
